At 12 inches across, this beautiful and versatile block puzzle is Grimm's largest Goethe Circle. 24 wooden blocks in 8 vibrant rainbow colors rest in a circular wooden frame. The spiral design represents the Color Wheel, and is based on Goethe's Theory of Colors. The pieces can be used to create designs and patterns either in or out of the frame, and also as building blocks. The easy-to-manipulate blocks are 0.8 inches (2 cm) thick, making this an excellent choice for younger children. The geometrical puzzles encourage the feeling for colors and forms in play, three-dimensional thinking and inner flexibility.
Solid European hardwood, hand-finished to remove all sharp edges and colored with non-toxic, water based, child-safe dyes. Winner of the prestigious Spiel Gut ("Good Toy") award, which recognizes high quality children toys that are also ecologically sensible.

You may notice some color transference on the blocks. This is not considered a defect as the blocks are unlacquered. Grimm's does not use lacquer in order to preserve the natural feel of the wood (which is in line with their aim to design toys according to principles of Waldorf and Montessori education). Unlacquered blocks are also easier to build with as they areless likely to slip.
